Episode 103

Quick Update – and Thank You

Where has the podcast been for the last few weeks? Short answer: I needed to stop, so I stopped.

This is a two minute update rather than an episode. It has been a rough two or three weeks and I deliberately took extra time out instead of piling more pressure on myself. I am aware I am making it sound bigger than it is. It is not big. It is just real. And if a teacher ever tells you they are sorted, done, and never have to work on themselves again, do not believe them for a minute. Back properly next week.

One thing to try: If you need to stop, stop. You do not owe anybody a performance of being fine.

Speaker A:

Hello and welcome to an extra podcast of Stillness in the Storms.

Speaker A:

Well, not really.

Speaker A:

I just wanted to let you know what's happening in my life and why I haven't done a podcast for the past couple weeks or my weekly calm newsletter.

Speaker A:

In short, I haven't been very well.

Speaker A:

I've been struggling with overwhelm and that runs the body down.

Speaker A:

I've had a couple of infections and one thing's led to another and being paralyzed, you know, whether I transcend it, whether I live with it or whatever, it's still difficult for the body to deal with at times.

Speaker A:

So it's been a little rough couple, three weeks.

Speaker A:

So I deliberately had to take extra time out and enjoying life a little bit again rather than putting pressure on myself.

Speaker A:

So I just wanted to come on here and let you know what's happening.

Speaker A:

Everything is fine.

Speaker A:

I'm going to be back to my normal podcast and weekly calm newsletter by the end of next week and I just wanted to say hello to everyone and thank you for your support.

Speaker A:

In the members area of Buy Me a Coffee there has been a couple of supporters only meditations that I've done.

Speaker A:

They were previously recorded.

Speaker A:

So I've been trying to support you while I've been going through this and it's nothing big.

Speaker A:

I'm.

Speaker A:

It's almost like I'm making a big day out right now.

Speaker A:

I'm really not, but I've had to just take a little step back because one of the things I suffer from more than anything else is just overwhelm.

Speaker A:

I load myself up with so much that I just get swamped by it.

Speaker A:

And my body tells me sometimes I need to listen to the body.

Speaker A:

And if any teachers come along and say they're all sorted and they're all done and nothing ever and they don't have to work on themselves, they don't, you know, don't believe them for a minute.

Speaker A:

You know, it's all part of life there for us to learn from it.

Speaker A:

But yeah, thank you for those supporters of the podcast.

Speaker A:

Thank you for a few of you that have continued to donate via the Inner Peace Meditations.

Speaker A:

And I have got a course coming out on Inside Timer that will be available from the 9th of October and that will be widely available to others after that.

Speaker A:

But it has to be on there exclusively for a while first.

Speaker A:

And I'll tell you more about that on my first podcast back coming up next week.

Speaker A:

But take care.

Speaker A:

I love you and thank you for bearing with me and I do apologize that I haven't been around, and I haven't really let you know what's happening.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Take care.
